losing day, yesterday, at the 2022 Chesva 2.0 Regatta of Champions – The R.O.C. with 2 races completed and a modest Closing Ceremony surrounding the Sailors, the Coaches, the Officials, the Partners and all the Volunteers that help in making The R.O.C. a reality.
Light winds did not allow the Race Committee to complete all 25 Races. Never the less, it proved to be that The R.O.C. is the toughest and the most competitive Regatta, ever organized. After 22 tough races, it all came down to the last race with Alberto Avanzini (ITA) to be crowned The R.O.C. World Champion for 2022, being the first to take over The Trophy of the Champions and an Academic Scholarship Award of €8.000.
Erik Sheidt (LTU) lost the lead that he had on day 3 & 4 on the last race and finished 2nd and ASA of €6.000 with David Coates (USA) 3rd and ASA of €4.000, Henric Wigforss (SWE) 4th ASA €3.000, Ioannis Tournis (GRE) 5th ASA €2.000, Wylder Smith (USA) 6th, Hugo Rodriguez (ESP) 7th, Artur Brighenti (ITA) 8th, Arthur Back (BRA) 9th, Juan Bennasar (ESP) 10th, James Pine (USA) 11th and Sviatoslav Madonich (UKR) 12th All with ASA of €1.000 each.
Isabella S. Sanchez (PER) was the top Girl, followed by Arantza V. Zimmermann (PER) and Victoria Demurtas (ITA).
First Coach was Ivano Brighenti (ITA), followed by Mauro Berteotti (ITA) and Fernando Alegre (PER).

The R.O.C. Organizing Committee and Chairman Stelios Charalambous would like to thank Everyone that contributed to make The Dream Come True – Sailors, Coaches, Parents, Partners, Officials and Volunteers, but a Special Thank You to Mr. Mike Shyrokov and his Company, Chesva 2.0 who first believed in this idea. Mr Shyrokov stated, at Closing Ceremony that we need to keep moving forward and The 2023 R.O.C. is yet, another reality.
