T he idea behind the Regatta of Champions (R.O.C.) is to gather the Top Sailors from around the World to participate in a regatta to get The Annual Champion of the Bests. Every year, and after the completion of all Continental and World Championships an invitation will be sent out to the following sailors:
10 Top Sailors from the World Championship
7 Top Sailors from the European Championship
5 Top Sailors from the N. American Championship
5 Top Sailors from the S. American Championship
4 Top Sailors from the Asian Championship
4 Top Sailors from the African Championship
5 Wild Cards will also be available
* Minimum 20% of the invitations will be sent out to Girls. Total of 35 Sailors.
** Wild Cards will be given out through a process described below.
*** Number of invitation for each Championship is subject to change based on participation and difficulty.
Out of the 40 Sailors in total, minimum 8 of them will Girls. At Least 2 from the Worlds, 2 from European, 1 each from N. & S. American, 1 from Asia and 1 from African. The selection will be made based on the final results. If a sailor rejects the invitation, then the next sailor on the list of results will be invited, until we reach the specific total number of sailors from each continental or worlds.
Prize Awards
Prizes for Sailors will be awarded to all participants based on the Official Final Results. A purse of €40.000 will be split among the first top 12 finishing sailors, and the top 3 coaches in the form of scholarship for academic expenses and awards accordingly, using the scale below:

Coaches Money Awards
The first 3 coaches who have the top finishing athletes will also receive money awards. Each Coach is entitle of only one award based on his athlete with the highest ranking position at the end of the R.O.C. (if a coach has the 1st and 2nd athlete at the final results, he will receive the 1st money award only. The 2nd award will go to the next coach with the next best sailor (3rd)).

Wild Cards
From the 5 wild cards in total, one will go to the National Champion of the hosting country. If not available then to the next in the rankings. The other 4 wild cards will be earned through 2 racing camps that can be organized around the world. Alternatively, 2 well known regattas around the world could be appointed to give two wild cards each. 2 wild cards in each racing camp. The format of the racing camps will be announced at a later stage.
Entry Fee
Entry fee for sailors will be €1.000, including registration, accommodation, meals and boat charter for the entire event which will be 7 days long. Entry fee for coaches will be €500, including accommodation, meals and support boat for the entire event which will be 7 days long. All coaches will be attending each race on a large coach boat. If a coach would like to charter his own private RIB the fee will be €175 per day.
Time of the Year
The 2022 Chesva R.O.C. will take place in Limassol, Cyprus during the month of November, after the completion of all Continentals and World Championships. For the years to come, The R.O.C. can be organized at any country, any club around the world, moving all procedures, standards and sponsor to the new venue.
Officials
The R.O.C. will follow most of the basic rules of Class, using an IRO, 3IJs, 3NJs, a Measurer and professional staff for scoring, mark laying, administration etc.
